Silverstream Liquid is an inorganic chemical with antiseptic activity. It is used for the prevention of infections in burns and wounds. On application, it releases silver ions into the skin which kills and prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms.

Silverstream Liquid is for external use only. Use it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. The affected area should be clean and dry before application. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Use the medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased. If your condition does not get better or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. You can help this medication work better by keeping the affected areas clean, making sure they are dry, and washing your hands before and after treating the infection.

The medicine is well tolerated and does not usually have any common side effects. However, consult your doctor if you experience any symptoms which you think are caused by the medicine.  Avoid direct contact of the medicine with your eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash your eyes with plenty of water and seek immediate medical attention. Do not use the medicine if you have any signs of an allergic reaction. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors first before using the medicine to make sure it is safe.
